The State of Israel expressed its readiness to build the capacity of Nigerian women and girls in diverse fields such as capacity building in agriculture, science and technology, especially in the textile sector.
Signs of this development were evident when Israel’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Michael Freeman, paid a courtesy call on Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, at the Abuja State House.
In a statement by Senator Tinubu’s Senior Special Assistant on Media, Busola Kukoi, the Ambassador commended the First Lady’s various programs in the areas of women empowerment, agriculture, youth and education, adding that Nigeria is blessed with good land and environment. He emphasized that climate.
He highlighted four aspects on which the Israeli government looks forward to collaborating with the Office of the First Lady, including science and technology, and the creation of 30 more innovation centers across the country in addition to the innovation center already operating in Abuja. Ambassador Freeman also revealed that the Israeli government plans to set up computer classes to train girls rescued after being trafficked.
He informed the hosts about the proposed textile arts program for Nigerian youths, explaining that they would work with Israelis to provide training for Nigerians to improve their skills.
In response, Senator Tinubu expressed her appreciation for the proposed cooperation between the Israeli government and the Israeli initiative, stating that the key areas mentioned were the same areas of important interest to her. It pointed out.
